Have questions about hyperbaric oxygen therapy?
You’re not alone.
Here are answers to some of the most common questions we hear from patients just like you.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing 100% pure oxygen while resting inside a pressurized chamber.
This allows oxygen to dissolve more deeply into your bloodstream—beyond just your red blood cells—and reach areas where healing is often limited.
HBOT is a non-invasive medical treatment designed to support your body’s natural healing processes at the cellular level.
HBOT has been shown to:
Decrease inflammation
Improve immune function
Promote the growth of new blood vessels
Mobilize your body’s own stem cells
Reduce swelling
Support tissue repair and regeneration
In short, it helps your body heal from the inside out.
HBOT has been shown to:
Acute injuries or surgeries may respond in as few as 5–10 sessions.
Chronic or complex conditions (such as brain injuries, autoimmune conditions, or post-viral fatigue) often require 20–40 sessions or more.
Yes. When delivered by trained professionals in a clinical setting, HBOT is considered very safe.
At Saint George Hyperbarics:
All treatments are overseen by licensed medical providers.
Our team is certified by the International Board of Undersea Medicine.
We use FDA-cleared steel chambers built to the highest safety standards.
You’ll receive a full evaluation before your first treatment to ensure HBOT is safe and appropriate for you.
Due to increased fire risk associated with an oxygen-enriched environment, personal devices such as cell phones and other unapproved electronics are not allowed in medical-grade hardshell chambers. Certain medical devices have been tested and are safe in our chambers, we'll find out for you.
The best relaxation and rejuvenation is acheived while resting, reading, writing, or meditating during your HBOT session.
We are a cash-based clinic and do not bill insurance at this time.
However, we do accept HSA and FSA payments, and many patients use these accounts to cover the cost of treatment.
